Update: 5/11/10 - 10:52 pm - Siohvaughn Wade turns herself in to police
Siohvaughn Wade, the estranged wife of NBA star Dwayne Wade, is being pursued by police, according to TMZ. They are seeking her out after she missed a mandatory hearing in Chicago involving her divorce with Wade. The judge had already threatened Siohvaughn with a body-attachment order if she failed to show up for another hearing. Siohvaughn has been in the news quite a bit lately after she decided to sue actress Gabrielle Union for acting inappropriately in front of her children.
Siohvaughn claims that Union and her husband didn't show proper discretion in front of their children, inflicting emotional distress. The lawsuit was filed in the middle of a nasty divorce battle between the two. The new order from the judge means that Siohvaughn is going to be taken in to custody by police and delivered to the court.
Sadly enough, the divorce has been one of the leading sensational headlines of this month and the last one. What makes this situation worse is that underneath the drama, there is very real pain and a family broken apart. Let's be real: Love makes people insane, and we often make fools out of ourselves when being put through the struggles of a difficult breakup. Right now, both Wade and his ex-wife are looking pretty silly.
Without laying blame on either Dwayne or Siohvaughn for this unfortunate situation, I can only imagine that Siohvaughn's odd behavior is related to the challenges of trying to keep a husband who is faced with more temptations than any young man can handle. It's hard enough to keep a family together without having to compete with women like Gabrielle Union. But then again, I don't know the details of their relationship, so my comments can only go so far. I sincerely wish this couple the best.

When did marriage go from being sacred to a joke?
When did Siohvaughn become an ex-wife? To the best of my knowledge they are still married. If they are still married, then why such animosity towards the “wife” and none directed at the cheating husband and his “mistress”, who have undoubtedly damaged the children more than anything the wife has done or can do. It is their cheating that has created this media circus, right? If Mr. Wade had been divorced then we could be upset at the jealous ex-wife, but he was not and is not. All the while flaunting his “whore”, the mistress, around like a prize to behold. When did the tramp on the side become front seat material? Oh, yeah, when you’re Gabrielle Union. Is it looks that have us acting so stupid? Would we be as forgiving if he had been dippin’ out with a white girl?
The marriage may or may not have been in trouble. This is irrelevant. I have never heard a husband or wife say that my spouses cheating saved my marriage. If there were problems already, nothing between Gabrielle’s legs made it better. Cheating may not start a marriage down the track to destruction, but it adds greatly to the momentum, and can only assure its arrival.
It’s hard enough for the black family. We should not be supporting the willful destruction of one? Why are we giving the two people who have done the most wrong, a pass? Is this what we have allowed ourselves to be reduced to, a joke; a headline? She’s a crazy black woman because her husband and his tramp walked all over her and her family. Give it a rest. Check your integrity and morals. Cheating is never alright, should not be overlooked and never dismissed, no matter what kind of marriage we assume it to be, and no matter what that trash on the side looks like.

Dr. Watkins, you are absolutely right. The estranged wife's actions are somewhat precipitated by the loss of her husband, his going on about his business with a major movie star, and her feeling like she has been deserted. I know the feeling, since I have been somewhat in her position. Rejection is a terrible thing to experience. It turns you into someone who you are not, under normal circumstances. I feel for her and I am praying for her.

This is what happens when you turn your back on God and start living your life as you see fit.Both of them went to church when they lived in Chicago but when D.Wade came up they both forgot about the real strength that holds a marriage together this is a shame. As the saying goes give a man some money and watch him act funny!

first of all how can anyone expect to be happy off someones elses unhappiness? how do you think you can find real love in a man who is willing to break up his family? so i say to miss union..... its countdown on your affair with this man. he will leave you for the same reasons hes leaving his wife! i don't know all the details but you don't need to know them , most times its just a repeat performace with men.

They go to jail for stupid minor infractions,in Georgia!It's a shame how the legal system operate in Georgia!They send innocent young black boys still in high school,to prison for such minor infractions such as probation violations!Something has to be done to prevent this!They place hardship on their families,by charging large sums of bond money,that their families cannot afford! Georgia is ruining these young people's lives,who otherwise have such a bright-bright future!,People we have to prevent this miscarriage of justice on our young,talented,bright,black children!They use the system to funnel money to operate the state!
