Former Olympic runner Marion Jones has moved on with her life, after admitting to taking performance-enhancing drugs at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. She served a stint in jail, came out and announced she wanted to play basketball, and now she's on the roster of WNBA team, with the Tulsa Shock.
Her teammates from the 2000 Olympics, however, haven't moved on.
When Jones admitted to using drugs, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) stripped her of her medals and stripped her teammates,' who took part in the U.S. Women's 4x400 Relay Team and 4x100 Relay Team, medals too.

Now those women have brought the case to the top-governing sports authority, the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), to see if they can get the IOC decision appealed.
Jones ran the 4x400 relay with Jearl Miles-Clark, Monique Hennagan, LaTasha Colander Clark and Andrea Anderson. She ran the 4x100 with Chryste Gaines, Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry and Passion Richardson, although Perry is not participating in the appeal.

The women believe they shouldn't be punished for the actions of Jones.
In a case involving Jerome Young, a member of the Men's U.S. 4x400 Relay Team, he was retroactively banned from the 2000 Olympic Games, but his teammates were able to keep their gold medals despite the IOC initially stripping them.
It'll be a few weeks before the CAS makes their decision.

Yep, 35 years old and flat broke.
Being a disgraced Olympic champion, a steroid (BALCO) user, a convicted felon and having no other skills beside running track (can't go back there for $$$) and basketball, that she played while she was in college years ago, this is her only way to make any money to pay off her extrmely large debts.
At the pinnacle of her success, Olympic sprinter Marion Jones set records for female athletes, signed multimillion-dollar endorsement deals and adorned the covers of national magazines.
According to recent court records, Jones says that her millions of dollars are gone and that she has "total liquid assets throughout the world" of about $2,000.
Last year, a bank foreclosed on her $2.5 million chateau-style "dream home" in an area of Chapel Hill, N.C., where Michael Jordan and Dean Smith were among her neighbors.
And this year, records show, Jones sold two other North Carolina houses, including one where her mother lived, raising "money to pay bills," she said.
Marion Jones initiated fire sales of these homes in North Carolina and that's in addition to the several lawsuits that she has pending against her.
So this is what Marion Jones has to do in order to pay her bills but it will not be enough since she will probably get the minimum WNBA contract (with incentives) and due to her age and time off te court. this is more of a publicity stunt (get azzes in the seats) than anything else.
WNBA Rookies get paid a minimum $35,19 and the maximum WNBA salary for veteran players in 2010 is $101,000 – quite shy of the massive paydays and endorsement deals of their male counterparts. In fact, the average NBA player makes over $5 million a year and Marion Jones who will play for the Tulsa Shock, signed a one-year contract with Tulsa, receiving the league’s minimum of $35,000.

As for her Olympic 4 x 4 relay teammates who submitted an appeal to get their medals back? Good luck with that. Maybe they too can sue Marion Jones and good luck with that too.

What happen to make Marion Jones finally tell the truth? I mean it's good that she did, but did something happen, did she get caught I mean after all this time, what made her come fourth with the truth?
