Kentucky guard and projected No. 1 NBA Draft pick John Wall hasn't even stepped on an NBA court yet and he's got his first million-dollar endorsement contract. According to Yahoo! Sports, Wall signed a $25-million five-year endorsement deal with Reebok. Reebok is hoping that Wall will be the new face of its basketball brand, taking the place of Allen Iverson who's had a deal with the company for more than a decade.Apparently the deal guarantees Wall two lines of signature shoes. His deal is the largest for a No. 1 pick since LeBron James signed his $90-million deal with Nike before he was drafted. Even though he doesn't have as much buzz as LeBron James leading in to the draft, Wall is expected to make an immediate impact to the Washington Wizards (who have the first pick in the draft).
In comparison, 2009's No. 1 draft pick, Blake Griffin, signed a $400,000 endorsement deal with Nike. Wall is 6'4", 195 pounds and averaged 16 points, 6.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals a game while he was with Kentucky.
