Allen Iverson: Allen Iverson 'Absolutely' Will Try to Play Again in NBA

The NBA season is officially over and the world has been wondering if LeBron James is leaving or staying in Cleveland.

Not very many people have been wondering about Allen Iverson's plans. But to make sure he's in the conversation, Iverson has let his manager know that he's working on becoming available for the 2010-11 season.
"Allen is working out and he's getting himself prepared to make his return," Iverson's personal manager Gary Moore told the Associated Press. "He absolutely will try and play next year. Allen wants to come and help a team win a championship, which he's completely capable of doing."

Iverson is still signed to the Philadelphia Sixers but took a leave of absence in March to be with his 4-year-old daughter who was suffering from an unknown illness. That same month, Iverson's wife Tawanna filed for divorce.

Whether or not Iverson comes back, changes are happening with the Sixers. They have just hired Doug Collins, former TNT analyst and Wizards head coach, to lead the team next season and will be getting the No. 2 pick in next week's NBA Draft.
In a chat earlier this week, Sixers president Ed Stefanski said he still didn't know what was going on with Iverson.

"There is no news on Allen Iverson and we are not aware of what his plans are for the future," he said.

At the moment, the team is hoping to build around Elton Brand.
