LeBron James' home in Akron, Ohio, definitely embodies the life of the rich and famous. According to an interview he did with Jimmy Kimmel, it has an ATM, a bowling alley, a barber shop, a casino and a Starbucks in it. I never knew someone could have a Starbucks in their own home, but then again, the company seems to have locations everywhere.
Since LeBron James is moving to Miami, though, he has to find a new home, and the residence that is said to have caught his eye is a $49.8 million mega-mansion, the most expensive house in Coral Gables, Fla. The home was owned, at one point, by former coach and current General Manager of the Miami Heat Pat Riley.
Life & Style Magazine is reporting that the deal is as good as done. The house was apparently taken off the market as soon as LeBron announced that he was coming to Miami, which observers say is no coincidence. The 20,800-square-foot house has a full gym, eight bedrooms, a full basketball court and a 12-camera security system, along with all the other bells and whistles you'd expect from a house that costs nearly $50 million. You can see some of the pictures below:

In light of the fact that LeBron's current contract with the Heat is worth $110 million, the home is certainly not out of his price range. Also, even though it is known that LeBron gave up roughly $30 million in order to sign with the same team as Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, he is likely going to make back most of this money in endorsements that come from playing for a better team in a larger market. It must feel good to be LeBron right about now!

GJANDY: You need to get 'your' facts straight. LeBron didn't 'raise' anything except his pen when he wrote out a personal check to the Boy's & Girl's Club.

I agree with all who says, get off your lazy butts and buy your own place. LeBron has the $ and he can very well afford his mega mansion! Further more, he is not asking anyone for anything! I don't see you complaining about Hugh Hefner who has the PlayBoy mansion. So, why are you dogging out this brother? You are like crabs in a barrell. Don't hate, appreciate! I wish I could afford a $50M mansion..And those of you hating, you would LOVE to be able to afford one too. And it is not LeBron's responsibility to bail out the HBCU. More than likely, he probably gives to them, just doesn't make it public. Right on LeBron. I am waiting for my blessing, too! This is why I buy my Lotto Tickets! But for right now, I live within my 200K per year household annual income.

Its his money; he can do what he wants with it..but I think 50 million is a little excessive..these guys buy these humongous houses but forget; that you have to upkeep this thing for many years after you have retired from the nba. many of them go broke for this very reason...I think its a foolish move.

We as a people are so far behind in everything why would he spend that kind of money on a manison, when he can use the money to help his people here in america. This is what the white man does to our powerful and rich young people they make them believe that you should have a white woman and a masion just to say I've made it.Then when they get though using them they take back the white woman and the manison and leave them broke and an outcast in their profession. Be careful very careful and please remember the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. He has all this money with no investment advice.God help him
