Marion Jones' Former Teammates Win Back Gold Medals, IOC Disappointed

When former Olympic runner Marion Jones admitted that she took performance enhancing drugs during the 2000 Olympics, she was stripped of all the medals she won, along with her relay racing medal which her teammates were also stripped of. But Jearl Miles-Clark, Monique Hennagan, LaTasha Colander Clark and Andrea Anderson who were part of the 4x400 relay team and Chryste Gaines, Torri Edwards and Passion Richardson who were on the 4x100 relay team and won gold and bronze medals respectively, weren't having it.

They filed an appeal with The Court of Arbitration for Sport to get the medals back. The court agreed with the ladies and overturned the International Olympic Committee's decision, saying that the athletic rules for the 2000 Olympics did not allow teams to be affected by one member's doping.

IOC president Jacques Rogge wasn't happy about the reversal of the decision and blamed it on a loophole in the rules. "I think the international federations and also the IOC must tighten their rules to avoid this happening again," he told the BBC. "We respect the judgement but we are going to study the consequences to see how we can improve our action." Check out his video response:
