Unnamed sources in law enforcement are saying that the body of former
Atlanta Hawks player
Lorenzen Wright (pictured) was found in the woods in Memphis. Wright was scheduled to drive back to Atlanta in July with his children, when he disappeared in the middle of the night.
The 34-year-old Wright was last seen at 2 a.m. on July 19th. He was leaving his ex-wife's home at the time.
Wright was a star at
The University of Memphis before being drafted number 7 in the 1996 NBA draft. He was selected by the
L.A. Clippers but spent a large part of his career playing for the Hawks.
Last season, Wright didn't play, because he wasn't picked up by any NBA team. He was reportedly having serious financial problems: His $1.3 million dollar home in Tennessee was repossessed in May and his $1.1 million dollar home in Atlanta was also repossessed in January. There is no indication as to whether the financial problems played a role in his disappearance and death.

I think this is a shame for this young man's life to end like this. I also think its a shame that he allowed himself to be in the financial situation he was in when the ball stopped bouncing. When he was playing with Memphis he was earning about 8 million a year, why did he even have a mortgage...
WOW, think about it LeBron is about to purchase a 50 million dollar house...these guys better start thinking about the future...
It appears to me that he was worth more dead than alive...he had 6 children, all by his ex-wife and she was probably upset at the fact that he can't provide like he once did, he left her house at 2am probably behind an augument about money...then he ens up dead in a field???? I sam the interview the news did with her begging for anyone with information on where he might be, and she seemed to be trying real hard to make a tear fall from her eye...but it didn't...I'll leave the rest up to the MPD Homicide Detectives...but we all know what this is about.

I love black men. I have dated only black men for many years. I love the energy and a nice tight bod. white men just aren't the same, different mentality. The world is crumbling all around us due to strategical greed and personal discomfort. Too many people don't have a problem taking what they dont work for. But karma is just around the corner for those who have no moral descency. God helps those who help themselves.

I feel bad for all parties in this mess,especially the kids. We have lost another black male to violence. Probably over something really silly. The children in this whole ordeal may or may not suffer. Hopefully, Mr. Wright set up some kind of an account to help his young family.
This is really sad.
