LeBron James is showing appreciation to his Ohio hometown fans with a full-page newspaper ad as he leaves to play basketball in Miami.
LeBron and D-Wade on the same team? With Bosh? Very interesting.
James thanks Akron residents for their love and support in the ad in Tuesday's Akron Beacon Journal. He calls the city his home and the ''central focus'' of his life and says he will always come back.
There's no mention of nearby Cleveland, where he played seven seasons for the Cavaliers. Last month he announced his decision to move on to the Miami Heat, leaving some Cavs fans feeling burned.
The ad features photos of James in Akron, including at his annual charity bike-a-thon. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, and James plans to appear.

The real question is----why can't LeBron James be a man, return to the city of Cleveland and thank the city of Clevelend? What did they ever do to him but support him and gave him the benefit of the doubt. He did not win a championship. That's not the Cavalier's fault or the Cleveland fan's fault, it all his fault. he was on the b-ball court and did not win. Quit blaming everybody else for your failures.
And another why? because he am immature, scared little boy who doesn't have the guts or common sense to do so unless he is on the "safety" of a security controlled NBA basketball court with angry fans who can't get to him.
He's like a thug life gangbanger all alone without his gang. Has courage in numbers; when he has the safety of his boys but all alone, one-on-one to face your enemies? A total bitch and Lebron says that he's a businessman? True businessmen don't bitch up & run scared. They handle their responsibilities and Lebron can't.
LeBron stated that "He calls the city his home and the "central focus" of his life"...but the people and the city of Akron did not give him numerous opportunities to win, make him rich and famous world wide and put a team around him that could have won at least two NBA championships in which he fizzled out and could not deliver.
Young people need to understand if your parents failed to teach you about life......you do not disrespect people and blindside them & burn bridges behind you because first, it's wrong and second, throughout your entire life, you never know who you will need down the road of life and the attraction of a sweeter smelling rose (Miami Heat) does not guarantee you success and happiness because that smell can turn sour and the thorns will stick you...be careful what you wish for because that wish may not come true.
Somebody in Lebron's life (especially his mother) should have taught him that but then again, she's immature too.

That's why Lebron left just because of the stupid shyt u just posted. He gave them 7 years and the owner did nothing but get half-ass players to surround him.
The Owner did not say a damn thing when Lebron was filling up seats and events in Cleveland under his establishment. There was not even a fuyking word coming out his mouth then, he was raking in the doe all because of Lebron.
Hell the owner should be apologizing !!....

The truth hurts, doesn't it?
djkut, why should the owner apologize? LeBron could not win a championship on the floor. Not the owner's fault.
Lebron James is just another NBA employee, a paid player who could not deliver a championship with all the pieces that the owner (with LeBron's full approval & support) brought to the team and Lebron, under the pressure to lead and win, could not get it done.
He's not good enough mentally and good enough physically to get the job done by himself. Stop paying attenton to the ESPN highlights; the dunks and from behind block shots and pay attention to the fundamentals of his game and his heart and personal will to excel in times of pressure. He's not there yet to get it done all by himself as a solo superstar like MJ or Kobe....and we will now never kno now that he punked out and went to play second fiddle Robin to Dwayne Wade's Batman.
Lebron James was on the court playing with those "half-ass" players you are refering to, not the owner and he fumbled & panicked; could not get it done (you saw those final games against Boston and the previous year's playoffs against Orlando?) and you want the owner to apologize? For what? Lebron's inability to win in the playoffs?
Please!!!
That's laughable & some stupid shyt you're saying. The owners in the NBA (no matter their win-loss record) are going to make his money regardless of who's on the floor, be it LeBron or anyone else so selling tickets, concessions & putting asses in the seat was never a problem for the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers for decades.
You want to beleive that players make and control the league? No, owners do. This is a business first (owners are wealthy billionaires and players are millionaire rich because of those wealthy owners) and they completely control the team & purse strings for all players so if LeBron James, who could not win a championship in 7 years with Cleveland thinks that he is above the game, he's not and the childish nature that he handles his business and outward professionalism, indicates to me djkut, that he is n different than you, you're young and just don't know. You still have much knowledgeto learn & mature growing to do.
You and Lebron James are just young, naive, gullible, no experience, doesn't understand professionalism, not taught by your parents properly the morals & values of life, little child.
Grow up, pay close attention, learn & understand
