Well, it's official:
Tiger Woods and
Elin Nordegren's divorce is final.
On Wood's Website, Tiger and
Elin released a joint statement announcing the dissolution of their marriage:
"We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future," the statement read. "While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us. Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern."
But is Tiger now a happy man since he no longer has "ball-n-chain" to answer to? We suspect we might see some paparazzi photos of him arm-in-arm with an array of waitresses in no time. But at least we, the public, can celebrate the end of this chapter of Tiger's life. The speculation of how Elin feels, the never-ending mistresses, and how much money is being split in the divorce is now behind us. Now we can look forward to rumors of Elin's new man, who Tiger is stepping out with next, and the amount Tiger's dishing out in child support each month.
Because that's all that matters, right?
