Reggie Bush is about to make history once again. Sources say that the Heisman Trophy Trust will strip the former University of California running back of his Heisman Trophy. In the 75-year history of the award, Bush would be the first player to have it taken back. The report says that the decision will come down by the end of the month.
Back in June, the NCAA found the University of Southern California in violation of NCAA rules because of knowing and doing nothing about Bush's receipt of cash, gifts and other benefits as a student-athlete. The NCAA determined that Bush was ineligible for part of the 2004 season and all of the 2005 season, when he was awarded the Heisman Trophy.
The University of California's punishment for the violation includes victories from late 2004 to 2005 being vacated (plus the school's Orange Bowl victory in 2005), the loss of 30 athlete scholarships over the next three years and banishment from participating in any bowl games for the next two seasons.
Bush has yet to respond to the report, but earlier this year he was taken aback by the punishment his alma mater was receiving, although he didn't admit to any wrong-doing:
"This thing, regarding USC and the NCAA, is the closest thing to death without dying because I have such a great love and respect for the university," Bush told the Associated Press back in June. "This has been one the toughest things I've had to deal with in my life. I believe that there's a lot of untold truth to this matter, there's a lot of fabricated lies to this matter, but it is what it is, and I can't sit here and cry about it. I can't sit here and make up excuses. Ultimately, it's a responsibility that's placed on USC and my shoulders. It's because of me. So all I can do is continue to try to help them and move forward with the situation. God works in mysterious ways and at the end of the day I think this, too, shall pass and hopefully we can grow stronger from this."

Black athletes will someday get the message: "we ENVY you all's great athletic and rhythmic skills that OUR non-Black kids don't have. So we will do all in our powers to shame, disgrace and humiliate you and your race."
Just like the everyday society needs to Re-Segregate and De-Integrate with whites and Jews, so do Black Athletes need the "Black/Negro Leagues" in All Sports. This white males judging Black kids is suicide, Ethnocide, a slow Ethnic denigrating agenda.
Envy is a "deadly sin," and if they'd enslave us under this KKKristian religon, surely they'll continue to abuse us under a Judaistic and KKKristian media, rules book, Govt. Only capitalism is their God.

WOW Frank Talk, nothing else can be said because you said it all in truth. America still has a long way to go with racism. Actually, I think the country is going backwards in racism especially since the country has its first Black President. God still has work to do with America to heal it of its worst history of American history.

@ Frank Talk- You are so right in your assertion. However, you must also touch the fact that these same Blackmen that're treated with such disdain and jealousy from nonblacks, are still the same ones who'll go above and beyond to showcase the nonblack woman in their arms as a symbol of success. So when you look at it logically, the complaint becomes MOOT. My analogy is: you can't win a fight against your opponent/enemy with one hand tied to your back....bottomline, you've lost the fight before it began. Blackmen can't complain about the way the powers that be treats them in the society, while obsessing about their women...food for thought??

This is not about race. It is about poverty and greed. Reggie and his parents were poor folk presented with gifts beyond their wildest dreams. Had his parents had more wisdom and had Reggie received proper guidance, this would not have happened. My son was no Reggie Bush but he received a football scholarship. The NCAA guidelines are clearly available to all, and HE KNEW THAT HE WAS BREAKING THE RULES WHEN ACCEPTING GIFTS. HE NOT ONLY DAMAGED HIS OWN REPUTATION, HE (AND OTHERS) ALSO DAMAGED THE REPUTATION OF PETE CARROLL AND THE ENTIRE USC FOOTBALL PROGRAM.
It is no coincidence that Pete Carroll decided to leave in the wake of Reggie's blatant disregard for the NCAA rules. USC will no longer be
able to dominate the field now that they (and their boosters) will be held to the same recruiting and student athlete standards as other
universities. GO UCLA!

This has nothing to do with race. As a student athlete he is to be an UNPAID student athlete. Rules were broken, and the penalty must be paid. We can't look past the fact that rule violations wer committed, and he and the College knew it and claim racism all the time. Case closed.
