Matt Barnes was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of domestic violence. Sacramento County authorities responded to an incomplete 911 call from a woman placed at around 4:16 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Barnes and an unidentified woman both with visible bruises.
Police wound up arresting Barnes and not the woman because he had apparently been the aggressor of the two. The woman, who is still unidentified, is apparently someone whom Barnes had been living with in the home. When the woman placed the emergency call to police, she had been prevented from speaking further with the 911 dispatcher. The operator testified to police that they had heard an apparent struggle in the background over the line before the call was abruptly disconnected.
Barnes was booked on felony domestic violence and malicious obstruction of the use of a phone line charges. The 30-year-old baller posted a $50,000 bond and was released shortly before 9:40 p.m. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Barnes became more widely known when he and his former fiancee Gloria Govan appeared in the VH-1 reality show "Basketball Wives." Watch "Basketball Wives" costars talk about Gloria here:
Govan was not named as the unidentified woman.
Govan and Barnes were the only couple on the show to have a united front and their relationship seemed indestructible. They had an August 21st, Santa Barbara, California wedding with 200 people who would be in attendance, but 48 hours after Govan mailed out the invitations, the nuptials were off. The Mother of Barnes' twin toddler boys actually sent out a text alerting the invitees that there would be no wedding.
Govan, whom many viewers of the show thought to be holier-than-thou and above any relationship stresses, has said that her engagement did not end because of "infidelity or window-smashing, nothing of the sort."
Meanwhile, Barnes sent out a tweet a few hours after his release on his Twitter account regarding the domestic violence incident:
"DON'T LET YOUR EARS WITNESS, WHAT YOUR EYES DIDN'T SEE!!!"

It was so funny to me how she was on the show acting like she had the perfect marriage, with trust. Usually these are the main ones who have they man stray, WOW! Karma is a bitch! I never liked Gloria, shed thought she was better than the other women.

exactly jane! I hated that ugly pale skin b*tch with a passion for real because out of all of the women on the show, she most definitely was the foniest trick there were. and in reference to this article, the "unidentified woman" is her, the ex-fiancee of his, the Gloria chic because who else would it making a 911 call other than a mistress and I doubt if he was cheating on this trick because as per the show last season, she had the "perfect marriage," they're trying to keep it under wraps temporarily, but it'll soon come to light, perhaps in next season's "Baskeball Wives," I hope Shauna prohibits her a** from appearing back on there this coming season, the fake a** foney trick.

Of course this wannabe all-that, ho, Gloria's, gonna say that their engagement came to an end not because of infidelity, etc. Maybe it was over constant domestic situations within the household, or, maybe this so-called wannabe goodie-two-shoe ho found out that he did cheat and is trying to keep it undercover because she's to ashamed to tell due to the fact that she claimed to have had the "perfect so-called man" and the "perfect so-called relationship" in the last season of "Basketball Wives." This man is an athlete; it is a known fact and per other relationships associated with other professional athletes, they never work out due to the fact that "he" has cheated or always end up cheating with some unknown hooka, skeezer, whore, or slut who's willing to give it up easily for a few dollars giving by these dumb a** willing to pay for a side of a** athletes. Now, next on the "breakup list" will be the dark skin basketball wife, the one that look like a horse and is married to the soup-cooler lips having athlete that's made it known to her he's cheating with other women and she still insist on hanging on to a marriage that's not worth savaging. But, what goes on in the dark, surely will surface into the light, sooner or later. We all are aware of that old cliche.

I truly agree with the comment above, Ms Gloria has to realize that not everything is cookies and milk. I've always been told since I can remember, a man is gonna cheat, it's in their nature and I'm sure she has been told that too, but refuse to hear it. It took her to get beat down and moving to another state, for what the fabulous five had been trying to tell her for sometime now.
Ms Royce has been trying to befriend her (Gloria)and she was trying to keep the enemy near her (Gloria), eventhough they are in the same boat (yes Gloria the same type of baby mommy club) meaning you are in relations with a basketball player. Neither one of you are the SPOUSE and that's the same point Royce was trying to make, but you (Gloria) was in denial. Until you carry Matt's last name, wake up Dear you are just a baby mommy just like Royce. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Ms that's what's up........
