Mayweather Accused of Battering Security Guard

A Las Vegas security guard called police Monday night, after boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. allegedly struck him in the face, according to TMZ.

Apparently, the guard was hired to patrol Mayweather's exclusive gated Las Vegas community. When the guard pulled up to Mayweather's home and rolled down his vehicle's window to inquire about a parking situation, the boxing champ allegedly became irate about the line of questioning.

Out of the blue, the iron-fisted boxer reportedly reached in to the patrol car and struck in the guard in the face, according to TMZ. The unnamed guard then immediately called police to report the incident, and they arrived within minutes to investigate the complaint.

When the officers knocked on Mayweather's door, there was no answer. Reportedly, the welterweight refused to allow police to enter his home. The investigators then made out a report and left the scene.

The case, however, will not be swept under a rug. It will be turned over to the district attorney's office who will delve further in to the situation and decide whether or not to press criminal charges against Mayweather, who is already in a heap of trouble.

Instead of laying low, Mayweather seems to keep digging himself deeper and deeper in to a legal pitfall. One of boxing's most recognizable figures, Mayweather was recently in the news for allegedly beating up and threatening the life of his former girlfriend, Josie Harris; stealing her expensive cell phone; and abusively saying that he would beat two of their children during a pre-dawn argument that took place in September.

Mayweather also managed to negatively raise the ante on his rather colorful and controversial life by releasing an online video laced with expletives and racial rants against boxing rival Manny Pacquiao also in September.

Mayweather was arrested for his alleged domestic incident with Harris and faces felony counts of coercion, robbery and grand larceny -- as well as four misdemeanors. If convicted of all charges, the boxing legend could spend up to 28 years behind bars.
