For the last six months or so,
LeBron James has been in the headlines almost every day, thanks to his
ESPN special called "The Decision" over the summer.
Millions tuned in to see James, who was a free agent, announce what team he would play for in the upcoming season. The act, which saw him join
Dwyane Wade and
Chris Bosh in Miami, sent a message to the league and fans everywhere that players still wield a little bit of power in comparison to NBA team owners.
This is possibly why
Time Magazine announced that James is a nominee in the periodical's annual "Person of the Year" recognition. And while he is one of 25 nominees,
he's not too happy about it:
"I am who I am, and I think I'm in a position of my life where I'm going to get better every day,"
James told the Associated Press. "But it's too much."
The award was first given in 1927 to pilot
Charles Lindbergh. Other nominees this year include President
Barack Obama (who won in 2008),
Lady Gaga,
Sarah Palin,
Jon Stewart and
Stephen Colbert,
Glenn Beck, Afghan President
Hamid Karzai, Turkish Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Chilean miners (who were trapped in a mine for more than two months).
About being on the list with the miners, King James said:
"That's just crazy. What those guys did, the courage and what they stood for, I should be nowhere near that list. Nowhere near it."

Welcome to the world of grown folks Lebron!
And no one gives a damn about your problems; what you like or dislike.
You made your bed hard by having a hard head and now you have to live with your selfish and unprofessional past decisions and your nomnation for Time Magazine's "Person Of The Year" is completely fair and out of your control since the nominees they select are from all walks of life and their stories are either positive or negative and since you're bitchin' and moanin' about your nomination, the it's apparent that you consider what you did with "The Decision" and your handling of your exit from Cleveland to Miami is a negative thing since you continue to get severely blasted and is now hated and no longer loved by the fans and the public.
An if you win LeBron (and I seriously doubt it) then it makes you look even more foolish and stupid, people will continue to laugh at you for what you purposely did, make you a laughing stock for life and it will last forever
This is how the real world works so quit crying.
But what he should mad and upset about is your whining about how "The Big Three" were roasted by the orginal "Big Three" last week by the Celtics an his blaming his coach for "playing him to many minutes in the game" when the Celtic's Big Three are all in their mid-thirties and continues to kick their "early twenties" asses...and the Celtics are laughing at them.
All NBA teams know how to beat the Miami Heat. They have been exposed early, have the number of the Miami Heat knowing that they have no inside game with their lack of big men (Bosh is a joke) and have to rely on stricly outside shooting in order to win games.
And the fact that when it comes down to crunch time, they revert back to being the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lebron with the ball, he can't handle the pressure, has no outside shot and they struggle to beat anybody
And the season just started!
Eddie House takes the last second shot? WTF?
He continues to write checks that he can't cash.
Get mad about that LeBron!

LS. a typical Miami Heat fan who bought the "Big Three" hype bullshit hook, line and sinker... who now is left with nothing to say or to add....Don't worry and cheer up LS, things will get better if as their coach said to them at halftime of the Boston game.... "you guys needs to let go of your ego" (a little too late for that)..or of they can get a rebound or score inside the paint every once in a while or get a true point guard since they don't have one..Lebron at the point....Please!!....But I seriously doubt any of that happening but LS, just be strong, hang in there, pray and just keep the faith!
LOL!!!

What awards?
Lebron will end up just like Allen Iverson. League MVP awards but no NBA championships and especially not in Miami because they cannot beat the Celtics or Lakers and those are the teams and important games that matter in the playoffs.
When will Lebron win a champonship? When the "Big Three" of the Celtics are older or they retire and if Kobe and the Lakers have the same fate then it will only leave the lesser "one and done out od college" inexperienced NBA players scattered across the league with LeBron now being the more experienced player so that he can "beat up on the youngsters" the same way that the Celtics and Lakers are doing now.
That when he will, according to him, "win not one, not two, not three, not four and on and on and on championships.
They will continue to beat the low-rent, less experienced teams in the league every night but can't beat the two that matter.
And that win last night against Phoenix? Does not matter because the Suns have always been a weak team that has no center, no inside game for points or rebounds (that why Bosh scored 30+ points) and Miami is just the same as Phoenix who can't beat the Celtics or Lakers.
The Miami Heat: No point guard, no center, no inside presence, can't rebound, can't defend inside the paint and Lebron can't play down low in the post with his back to the basket (a la Charles Barkley or Karl Malone) the way a true power forward should for the benefit of his team. Instead, he can only do what he only knows how to do, play point guard and it's not working.
The win last night? A blip on the screen and they will win many more games playing lesser teams but beating the big dogs of the NBA? No freckin' way and you know it.
