NFL Buffalo Bills Steve "Stevie" Johnson, a second year player who is having a banner year thus far, has been making quite a number of folks hot under the collar with the blasphemous remarks he made on his Twitter account recently.
It seems that the wide receiver dropped what would have been a winning touch down against the Pittsburg Steelers in an overtime game on Sunday. Instead of taking the blame himself for messing up what could have been an easy touchdown, he blatantly blamed God for his mistake.
After the game, Johnson told reporters, "I had the game in my hands and I dropped it. I'll never get over it. Ever."
The 24-year-old went on an angry tirade against the Almighty after the Steelers kicked his team's butt 19–16. Johnson tweeted the following:

This kid and I usse the word kid as in childish, ignoramus, is the prime example of a man/child without leadership focus or direction. A fool cannot be proven to be a fool until he speaks and this fool has spoken. To blame anyone or anything other than himself for his athletic failure shows his immaturity, ignorance and inability to take responsibility as a man should. This kids has obviously not grown up i.e. Vince Young, and is quickly obtaining a reputation as a loser and hasbeen before he has even peaked as an athlete. A man takes complete and full responsibility for his successes and failures alike. This kid has a lot of growing up to do or his career will be short lived in the NFL Not For Long world again, i.e. Vince Young.

Our loving God gives us the choice to serve or not to serve; to love or not to love Him. Mr. Johnson has chosen and will live with and possibly suffer for that choice, unles he repents. He won't be the first person to get angry at God.
If the comment above is what he actually said then that wasn't blasphemous. Hella disrespectful, but not blasphemous.

In a heated and stressful situation, things like this are said when you are really upset and diaaspointed in yourself because you failed to perform up to your standards and when you let down others, as the case with this young man.
He is not blaming God, he is temporily diaaspoined and just upset for the time being and he will wit thhe help of the Lord, get over this.
The key words here are "I Praise You 27/7" which indicates that in his life, God is a permanent fixture to him (thank himself and his parents for that) and he is thankful for his physical abilities, his career as a professional football player and his life.
This youg man had God in his life and he is no different than anyone during their lifetime who constantly prays and worships, has questioned God when things go wrong and in this case, this situation to him, was really bad for him but it will not stop his love for God.
At least he has God in his life, does not do devilish things everyday and doesn't totally shun God in his life just like many others so give him much credit for that.
This young man did nothing evil, he simply just didn't catch a football and is dissapointed in himself for not doing so when it really counted.
And for this he will continue to learn, continue to become a better person, remain humble and become a better teammate and person who will learn from this and get much better at his craft and in his life.

Many say that they know God however if this young man REALLY KNEW GOD he would be giving him praise now. Because in ALL THINGS we should be thankful. I WILL PRAY for him.

So true. This kid has a lot of growing up to do. If all God had to think about was a sporting event, we would be most unfortunate indeed. If he is really interested in growing in the Lord, he would take his mistake and learn and grow and develop character from it. God knows what He is doing.
