For those who are tired of looking at Floyd Mayweather's mugshots, there may be something worth looking forward to in the sport of boxing.
Mark Wahlberg (pictured right) and Will Smith (pictured left) are being offered $1 million each to fight each other in a celebrity boxing match on February 26, 2011, in Las Vegas, according to RadarOnline.
The Hollywood Boxing Federation will be putting the offer out to them both on Monday. Jose Canseco, Rodney King (really?) and Danny Bonaduce have previously fought in celebrity boxing matches.
Unlike celebrities that play in the basketball league, these celebrity boxing matches are for charity - not just to draw fans to a fledgling league.
Really, though, a fight between Smith and Wahlberg may be a really good fight - even if they will only be fighting 3 one-minute rounds (apparently no one wants to mar their movie star faces).
They have both trained professionally for fight movies. Wahlberg is currently starring in "The Fighter" and Smith headlined "Ali."
Maybe one of them will eventually fight Pacquiao, since Mayweather won't be fighting him anytime soon.

Major height advantage to Will Smith.
It ain't no MMA match, just stand-up boxing.
I like the underdog's chances in the proposed match, but my bet goes with the Height/Reach advantage of Smith ending with a loss to M.W.

I think the idea is ridiculous on the surface. If both of these young men had been journey-men boxers, that's one thing - but actors, I don't think so.

I actually refereed one of Rodney King's fights last September and he wasnt too bad...he definitely had an idea of how to jab, how to keep proper distance, etc...

Actually I think Marky Mark would win only because he was a tough street kid from South Boston. He got into alot of fights would probably take it to Big Willie Style. Smith was never known as tough kid or a fighter in Philly. And he always had Chollie Mack do his dirty work when he got rich. He never got his hands dirty. No disrespect to Will but I seen him around back in the day. I just call it as I see it.
As for the matches, those celeb matches aren't for A-list actors like these two. Past matches have been for washed-up/has-been/reality star status celebs who need the money like Danny Bonaduce, Manute Bol, Ron Palillo ("Welcome Back, Kotter!") , Dustin "Screech" Diamond, etc

Mark would win because he's more street skills. Will's from philly and taller but Mark is a straight up brawler :} It's not about the size of the dog but the fight in the dog ( even though none of those guys look anything like a dog ;}
