Facing felony charges of third-degree rape, sexual abuse and endangering a child, Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty this week to the lesser charges of sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute -- misdemeanor charges that carry no jail time. He will have six years probation and register as a sex offender.
In court, Taylor admitted to having sex with a 16-year old prostitute but claimed that she said that she was 19 at the time of the incident. The prosecution accepted the plea deal, because Taylor has been helping law enforcement in human trafficking cases since he was charged last year.
Back in May, police arrested Taylor at a New Jersey hotel, after police received word from the 16-year-old girl's uncle that she was being forced to have sex with the former NFL star by a man acting as her pimp. Police and prosecutors say that Taylor has been cooperative since day one, hence, the light sentence.

Yeah man, many may not know or even recall the crack epidemic. Well Jesse Jackson, NAACP and the CBC (including Maxine Waters) were all calling for stiffer penalites.
Guess what, Congress did exactly what they wanted and passed those stiff penalites for rocks, even tougher then for powerderd cocain.
The net results, Mass Incarceration of black males. Now I ask you, who but Fake Azz Black Leaders, would insist upon "Mass Incarceration" upon its own, and then complain about "Mass Incarceration"
Hey, research it and read it for yourself.
Who but Black People would follow those "directly" responsible for the harsh sentences imposed upon their own. WHO?
Brady...your right ...I just googled it and hrer is what it said
"The stiff sentences for crack resulted from demands by Jesse Jackson and the Congressional Black Caucus for Congress to do something about the inner-city crack trade and its attendant violence. Congress acted. When blacks got busted at higher rates than whites, this suddenly became a human rights issue."
Man , it seems like Boyce Watkins makes it sound like the white's are dragging these guys to jail for nothing.
I guess he feels everybody is innocent, even Lawrence Taylor.
I'm glad the legal process showed common sense in this on this issue.., Taylors only offense in this case was solicitation.., All of this girls personal issues were a matter outside that hotel room... The solicitation went down exactly as that, A deal for a deed., Their acquaintance never read any more involved than that... Vegas Baby!, Vegas!!...
i think that's the part ppl are missing.. not all girls look like adults.. 2nd, he's married.. did the SOB even use a condom?! he said he took the plea deal and had 2 think about his family! what about the 16 yo family and her life.. was she scared, did she seem like she didn't want to do this? i mean really.. all this for a gadamn NUT! some men F'N disgust me..
and ur comment you hope the puddy was good.. WTF, she is a child..
That of course brings up what is inconsistency in laws. It is clear she was willing to engage in the act for money (which of course is illegal everywhere except certain Nevada counties). For example, if this had occurred in a Louisville KY hotel room (forget the prostitution piece), the sex would have been LEGALLY ok, since she was 16, and age of consent is 16 in Kentucky.
Should probably have federal consent laws of 18 across the board.
