It's been a pretty good year for
Michael Vick professionally. He was able to get the starting spot for the
Philadelphia Eagles, lead the team to the
NFC East title and have some amazing comebacks throughout the season.
And despite pushback from animal rights activists, Vick's play on the field and his off-field contributions in speaking at schools about his mistakes have earned him an endorsement deal with
Unequal Technologies.
Vick signed a two-year endorsement deal with Unequal Technologies, a provider of football pads that Vick wears.
"We're real excited about it," Unequal Technologies CEO
Rob Vito told the Associated Press. "Michael is good people. He paid his dues. President Obama reached out to him. He deserves an opportunity. This is what makes America so great. He's moved forward. He's a whole other person."
Vick is the first spokesperson for the company, and although the terms of the deal weren't disclosed, Vito said that it's a "sizable" contract. The company is known for making shock-blocking sports pads, Vick wore them after returning from his injury during the season and he also wore a protective vest made by the company.
"The Unequal Technology is a part of my game now, and I won't play without my Unequal," Vick said in a statement acquired by the Associated Press. "Unequal's protective power gives me a whole new level of confidence in my game. It makes me feel invincible."

He hasn't let his ego get in the way lately. I think you speaking about pre-Eagles which he has moved past and so should we.

Good for Mike Vick, he deserves a "second" chance, and I am sure he's going to keep/stay on the right path this time. He probably has rid of himself of the "leeches" that hung on for the "money" and the "honeys", and was afraid to be honest with him. It's nice to see this brother bounce back and learn from the "choices" he made to become a better person. God Bless him!

you are an absolute moron. Your hero should spend his life in prison and most certainly should not be held up to children in this country as "good people." He is what he always was: a torturer and killer of helpless animals. Are you brainless, peachy cobbler?

I realize he spent time in prison for his crimes, but read The Devil's Punchbowl" and learn what kind of people are involved in this horrible activity. I'm sorry to say I was a Phila Eagle's fan for many years, but I can't watch Vick, it makes me sick. I don't care how athletic he is, for me professional sports figures and entertainers must have character. A person can not change that quickly.

What stopped me from being killed in my struggle for community safey from the dog fight promoting, violent, gang bangers, was my dog, who recently died, after I was safe out of harms way. To me Vic is just a thug in a football uniform, just waiting to hurt a human in the future. I pray it's not a child or woman.
