Golfing superstar Tiger Woods was fined Monday for spitting on the golf course at the Dubai Desert Classic. On Sunday, Woods missed a putt on the 12th green during a day that had been difficult for him. That is when he was caught spitting by cameras. The European Tour then issued this statement:
"The tournament director, Mike Stewart, has reviewed the incident and feels there has been a breach of the tour code of conduct and consequently Tiger Woods will be fined."
According to the code of conduct, a player who becomes a member must "voluntarily submit himself to standards of behavior and ethical conduct beyond those required of ordinary golfers and members of the public."
Ewan Murray, a commentator for British Sky Sports, said that Woods' actions are "one of the ugliest things you will ever see on a golf course."
As for the spitting issue, rules are rules. I can say that Tiger Woods spitting on the golf course is certainly no big deal and it appears that Mr. Murray has to find something better to do, but perhaps Europeans just have far more class than us rusty-dusty Americans.
This is a very frustrating time for Tiger Woods. The man who once dominated every other golfer on earth has now slipped to No. 3 in the world.
He has also gone 17 tournaments without a win - the most in his entire career.
Perhaps this represents the end of an era, only time will tell. One might be able to forgive Tiger Woods for losing his drive to be number one. He has spent his entire life dedicated to the game of golf and perhaps since he discovered women, he now has something else that occupies his time. What I also hope he can discover is peace and balance, which can be difficult to maintain when you are one of the wealthiest athletes on earth with the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever, with whomever. As the book "Dorian Gray" teaches us, a man who can have anything he wants can end up with quite a tortured soul.

Are you 'F'ing kidding me? They're about to cut the crap out of shiggidy load of social programs like heatin assistance for the poor and BV is talking about an idiot who can't keep his winky in his pants and inability to stop dribbling?
This guy does not even identify himself as a black man... shoot his problems don't translate to any problems of mine or my community...hell if they fined him a million he'd still have more money than I would for loosing every game so again...Why should I give rat's red tail what happens to him?

Why not load up and kick tiger when he is down. If he was on top, it would not be an issue. He should boycott playing in dubia wher he is back on top of his game. Its all mental now. Tiger is a sellout to his race but he is still a great golfer

How is Tiger Woods a sellout to his race?Who to say who is Black and who is not,I am all for Woods,his Golf game and however he live his life,all I want to see him do is play Golf and win most of the time.Why do some Black American think that someone who look like them, have to act like them, to be one of them.An African American is not someone who look black,but someone who had a history in america before 1865 and not the one who came here after 1865 from over sea.
