Kenyan Olympic marathon champion Sammy Wanjiru died in a fall from a balcony after a domestic dispute involving his wife and another woman, police said Monday.
One police official said Wanjiru committed suicide, while another said he jumped to stop his wife from leaving the house after she discovered him with another woman.
The 24-year-old runner died late Sunday after jumping from a balcony at his home in the town of Nyahururu, in the Rift Valley, said John Mbijiwe, the police chief in Kenya's Central Province.
"The fact of the matter is that Wanjiru committed suicide," national police spokesman Eric Kiraithe said.

I'm seeing a trend by many African/American sports stars being killed by their wives. And it seems Southern football players have it the worst. Except for the recent White player in Florida.

This article did not say she killed him. It has conflicting information about the reason, but he caused his own death by "jumping" when he was found with another woman.

he did not die for the woman he died for his wrong doing.

@BigMike, What about your daughter? And sorry nobody is worth me dying over.....not even Momma...God is the only one, who gives you uncoditonal love...Mothers have been know to kill their kid, and siblings kill each other all the time.....

Hmmm.. I would like to say him jumping to his death was sad. But in all honesty, if he was that in love with his wife that would have kept him cheating. I guess i will never understand how people feel they can do what they want to others and think they will not pay the price.. Some more than others.. Better he killed himself and not her like so many others do.
