Tiger Woods announced Tuesday that he will not play in the United States Open next week at the Congressional Country Club near Washington.
Woods, who has been trying to rehabilitate his left knee and Achilles' tendon, both of which were injured when he hit a shot during the third round of the Masters, said the injuries have not sufficiently improved.
"I am extremely disappointed that I won't be playing in the U.S. Open," Woods said in a statement posted on his Web site. "But it's time for me to listen to my doctors and focus on the future. I was hopeful that I could play, but if I did, I risk further damage to my left leg.

Maybe thats an old photo after playing 18 holes and not recent. After a event most atheletes look tired.
He wasnt all that hurt to get a new lady after his divorce.

Tiger's delimma is that he's probably scared and will not take off the proper amount of time away from the golf course (both practice & competition) in order to properly rehabilitate his left knee and Achilles' tendon since he probably afraid that if he takes the proper amount of time needed possibly 6 to 8 months or longer, he will get really really rusty; even lose even more of his dwindling mental golf skills and will also continue to see his competition pass him by (he has now dropped in ranking to #8 in the world) and not make that money.
Eventhought Tiger Woods was ranked #1 in the world last year in annual earnings by a pro athlete (75 million) it dropped by 50 million from the previous two years, he continues to struggle with his mojo (he is no longer feared on the golf course) and he has not won a golf tournment and lost all his multi-million endorsement deals since he got caught up with his personal life back on Thanksgiving night in 2009.
He's not winning any tournments, no making that "Tiger Woods money" both on andoff the golf course to support his lifestyle (Woods has BIG bills to pay) and it's possibly becoming a real problem financially.
Woods needs to listen to his handlers and his doctors, take an adequate break and get healthy both mentally and physically but he won't and as long as he continues to push it trying to make the next tournment, he will never physically be healthy enough as he ages and that will continue to cost him in the future.

Tiger, take a break. Go on vacation. Relax, then come back and kill it. By the way, you are not the only one that messed up.
Clinton, Sanford, Eddie Long, Schwarzennegga, those other 3 politicians and now Weiner.

wood it will be already just take this time and heal your health is more important then anything . we have all made mistake in life some small some big and some bigger . it is what we learn from them . have a support you from the time everything happen i will keep on praying for you and blieve in in you . go on a trip take some time to your self go and see your family your sister misses you alot . its time to set things right in other parts of your life that way everything else will come . you will be good again god is doing this for a reason take this time and think things though ! i love you my brother coming from in so ca !

Tiger is never coming back stronger or better he is fininshed.The reason is that money and talent has not made him happy or comfortable in his own skin.Parents need to raise there children to have a strong identity and to love themselves.Tiger seems lost because he is still desperate for white acceptance but they now scorn him and he has to live with that humiliation.
